  • Technical Training Tonight!

    Technical training WILL be held tonight.  We are only able to cancel if Woodland Sportsplex closes.  Please check back before you leave for the evening to make sure there are no updates.  If Woodland does close, we will have it on our website before 5pm.

  • Winia Family Fundraising

    December 21st, 2011

    Mark Winia was laid to rest on December 20, 2011 in Zeeland Cemetery.  I cannot put into words how much he was loved and will be missed.  We must continue to keep his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.  Also, the family has some serious short term financial needs to cover funeral and medical costs.  If there is anyone in the club with a background in fundraising please contact me asap at 6168894993 or by email at coachmerritt@gmail.com/

  • Winia Visitation and Funeral

    December 17th, 2011

    Funeral services are planned for 11:00 am Tuesday in “The Centre” of Ridge Point Community Church, 340 104th Ave. Holland, with Reverand David Guerrin officiating. Burial will be in Zeeland Cemetary. Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8, Monday in Ren’s Cafe of Ridge Point Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Winia’s Children’s Fund at Macatawa Bank, 815 E. Main Ave., Zeeland MI 49464.

    By now I am certain that all of the Wolves/Hawks players and families are aware of the unexpected and tragic passing of our staff coach, Mark Winia. In this very difficult time it is hard to find the right words to express the deep sadness that all of us who knew him are experiencing. Losing Mark is so difficult. He was a great person on so many levels. He was a positive, thoughtful, caring and compassionate person who touched so many lives in his short time on this earth. Vsitation and funeral arrangements have not been made public yet. As we come to know the details we will pass them on to all of our families through the website. In the meantime please keep his family, friends and players in your thoughts and prayers.
